UboltAgent Windows Installation Guide

The Windows version of UboltAgent supports collecting and reporting monitoring information from Windows images.


Windows Installation

Preparations

  • To install or uninstall, you must log in to the Windows cloud host using an account with Administrator privileges (such as theAdministrator user).

    Note: Installing a new version of UboltAgent will uninstall anypreviously installed version.


Installation Steps

Log in to the Cloud Host

After logging in to the cloud host, use an intranet browser to access the installation package download URL. Download and save the installation package. Due to browser security settings, you may see security prompts---please trust and proceed with the download.

For Windows Server 2016 and above

http://umon.api.service.ucloud.cn/static/cloudwatch/uboltagent-v1.3.0-windows-amd64.exe

For Windows Server 2012 and earlier versions

http://umon.api.service.ucloud.cn/static/cloudwatch/uboltagent-v1.3.0-windows-amd64-compat.exe

Note: Before using the intranet to download monitoring components, ensure that the Windows instance is configured to use the intranet DNS; otherwise, the download URL cannot be resolved.

Execute Installation

Navigate to the directory where the installation package is saved and locate the downloaded file: uboltagent-v1.3.0-windows-amd64*.exe Double-click to start the installation process and follow the wizard to complete the installation.

Verify Installation Status

Method 1: Using Service Manager
  1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog, enter services.msc, and press Enter.
  2. Or navigate through: Start Menu → Windows Administrative Tools → Services.
  3. Locate the service named UBoltAgent and confirm its status is Running.
Method 2: Check Log Files

Go to the agent installation directory and view the log files under the log directory for detailed operation information.

Method 3: Check Cloud Monitoring Status

Wait approximately 5 minutes, then go to:\Console → Umon → Product Monitoring → Select the resource details. Confirm whether monitoring data has been successfully reported.


Windows Uninstallation

  1. Open the Control Panel and click “Uninstall a program”.
  2. Locate UBoltAgent, click “Uninstall”, and complete the removal process.

Notes

  1. Before performing any installation or uninstallation, ensure that important data is backed up.
  2. If you encounter issues or error messages, please refer to official documentation or contact technical support.
